What’s up, KH crew
I kinda fell off the wagon.
And nah, we’re not talking about some old-school tumble from a horse-drawn carriage.
I’m talking about that all-too-familiar crash into the pit of "Do I have to adult today?"
Apolgies for the newsletter incostiency.
I’ll be better
So, what’s the deal with burnout?
It’s not exclusive to Wall Street bankers pulling all-nighters or doctors on their third coffee running on fumes.
Burnout is a universal guest, uninvited but frequent.
Even those of us trying to keep it together with gym sessions, smoothies, and the occasional meditation.
There are three main culprits behind burnout:
Overload: When your to-do list looks more like a dictionary
Misalignment: Feeling out of sync with what you’re doing (Job, life, partner, etc)
Health Neglect: Ignoring the essentials—sleep, nutrition, and exercise.
I’ve been there—juggling long hours at my finance job, creating content for Kool Health, recording videos, and navigating relationship dynamics.
Burnout my jam for the tail end of college, leading me into a spiral of chronic fatigue.
It led to a two-year slog through college, feeling perpetually off-course until I decided enough was enough.
Diving deep with holistic health experts, functional medicine practitioners, and my education, I uncovered the root causes and carved out a path to wellness.

Getting Back on Track
It’s all about baby steps.
Nail one task for an hour straight or start with something chill like making your bed.
Celebrate those small wins.
For example, I just met with my boss and he told me I’ve gotten better at paying attention to details.
I celebrated with a two-minute dance party.
That’s my win for the day.
What’s yours?
Quote of the Week
"Success is the sum of small efforts, repeated day in and day out." - Robert Collier
People often believe that success is a special kind of breed.
They imagine to get it one must have an IQ of 200 or defy the laws of gravity, but they’re missing one common denominator.
All success begins with consistency.
In finance, consistent investing brings the largest returns
Consistent writing leads to a book
Playing guitar every day leads to an album
Meditation every day leads to clarity
By working on small tasks consistently, we grow exponentially.
I love this quote and it often reminds me of this one.
“How you live your days Is how you live your life.”
Regardless of what you do throughout your day, the small habits that contribute to your growth, done consistently over time, will lead to true success.
If you think “Eh, don’t worry health can be for when I’m 40,” you will be fat and grumpy
If you think “Man my 20s are for partying forget everything else !”
you will be sad and lonely when you 30.
So whatever path of life you’re on, think of the couple steps you can do every single day to achieve those goals.
For the success of Kool Health writing every day has been the core of my progression.
The more I write, the clearer I think.
The clearer I think the more ideas I create. More ideas, more business and it keeps on going.
Do that one thing. Every day.
Music to engage your flow state:
This guy is an absolute legend.
I've been a fan of playlists like this since entering flow state in college.
I often had to cram for tests at the last minute because of my jammed schedule, and I always found that listening to chill music helped the information stick.
I still swear by it to this day.
This radio show by Bobby Lyte is a free playlist that I often listen to when I'm in deep focus mode.
P.S. Look up your binaural beats and put on some headphones. Be prepared to trip out into a flow state.
Article of the Week
Since we’re talking about flow states I wanted to provide you with some notes on how to manage your time and workload.
This is one of my favorite and most popular articles for good reason.
Maybe it’s just popular because I’m shirtless doing yoga on it.
Who knows
It’s a great read.
Check it out.
