I found my highest self at a biohacking conference
Plus 10 actions to enter your own
Self obsession is healthy.
Some will disagree but its way better than having people tell you what to do and how to think.
Self obsession allowed me to see who I truly wanted to become in life. Once you experience it there is not stopping what you can do. Energy begins to flow inside you. Your perception of life gets thrown out the window.
All it takes is 10 actions in life to get to where you want to be.
To start this story I would like to take you to the 10th annual biohacking conference.
Don’t worry the list is down below.
The Biohacking Conference Experience
Red light glasses descended the stairs, a hint of plastic surgery in the air. - Jek
“Welcome to the 10th Annual Biohacking Conference,” Dave Asprey said.
There I was. Embracing it all.
Somehow I got a free ticket ($3,000) and was working with my favorite company, Alitura.
The air was thick with the sandalwood and black pepper incense.
Two floors packed with red light beds, head devices emitting strange frequencies, and booths showcasing NAD nasal sprays and stem cell therapies.
How did I, a real estate analyst with no medical background, end up here?
The day before
My apartment was filled.
Boxes full of
Moisturizers
Colognes
Cleansers
Clay masks.
Resided near my window.
I had to pickup every box and load it into my car, going down the elevator with 1-3 boxes at a time each weighing 15lbs or more.
I drove to the airport where I met two of Alitura’s employees Manny and Lucas.
We drove down to the hotel talking about Dallas and where the parties at.
When we pulled up to the hotel, you could taste the excitement. Everyone just got their passes and were looking fit.
With the help of valets and two big trolleys, we unloaded our precious cargo and head to the exhibition hall.
The scene that greets us is pure innovation.
Forklifts whizzed by, carrying hyperbaric oxygen chambers and cold plunges.
People meticulously arrange spirulina and nootropics.
People clawing to get their hands on the latest and greatest.
I’ve never sold anything in my life, despite maybe selling my mom to buy me a car.
But I dove into the experience and just went for it.
“Let me tell you about tri copper peptide.”
“This skincare will transform the world”
“Think about all the collagen!!”
I was so enthusiastic I was flowing.
There from 7:45 AM until 8 or 9 PM, not getting home until midnight.
But here's the thing - time flew by.
When you do something you truly love, time becomes irrelevant, and hard work feels effortless.
Me and Dr. John Lieurance Trolling
The whole weekend was a grind for sure. I never worked so hard in my life.
That's what made the experience so unique and memorable.
But now we are here at the lovely list.
Here are the 10 actions I took for my future self.
1. Educate Yourself Relentlessly
Educate yourself till you hate everything you once knew.
When you have the knowledge it opens up opportunities.
It shows you how to take over an industry. It shows you how you are unique.
Dive into books, research, and attend events.
Create a podcast or blog to share your knowledge.
Educating yourself relentlessly is the key to your future self.
2. Build an Online Presence
I honestly hate social media.
Its full of bs and people who are way into clout, but its a great way to get to been seen. To be heard by others. To share what you can provide. Its what helped me be where i am today.
Share content about topics in the industry and your opinion on it. Yes regardless of your credentials you are valid. Find others doing the same thing and TALK TO THEM. You could end up selling a company, who knows.
Remember: Your online presence is your digital footprint – make it count
3. Seek Mentors
Doing it yourself < Mentors
Doing it yourself it great but its way better with a mentor. A mentor can set you up with
Clients
Teachings
Opportunities
Answers that took years to find
Don't be afraid to reach out for help.
Send a DM to someone you admire or enroll in a course. Mentors will excite you, guide you, and show you what's possible. Seeking guidance is one of the most valuable steps you can take.
4. Attend Events
“Networking is a great way too..” SHUT THE FUCK UP
No one cares, nor do I. Were making real connections out here in this world. Net working is for a bunch of wussies who don’t want to make genuine connections with people.
My first conference I met at least 10 people who are my idols.
Don’t be afraid to meet anyone. Be you and follow the good vibes. Feel the event being so amazing and everything going great. Trust me it will
5. Let Your Passion Shine Through
Some don’t believe in passion. They say
“Hey stop acting so unique and yourself”
Energetically curb stomp them.
Get excited about what you love and share that energy with others.
Your authentic passion will be contagious. Remember, when you're genuinely passionate, people can feel it – and they'll be drawn to you.
6. Showcase Your Unique Perspective
We are all snow flakes. Our genes say so. Yes were similar in bablah genes. but listen everyone has different stories. Share yours.
7. Be Authentic and Build Genuine Connections
What do you get when your fake?
A pile of karmic dodo.
Treat everyone you meet as a real person, regardless of their status.
Show genuine interest in their work and experiences. Authenticity stands out and helps forge meaningful connections.
Meaningful connections equals meaningful life.
8. Continuously Reflect and Learn
Every night you need to reflect.
Look at your day.
What went well what went wrong?
What could you have done better
You need to be constantly saying how you could’ve done that better.
You need to love yourself endlessly to do it. Don’t criticize just recognizer your potential and stick to it the next day.
Make learning and adaptation a daily habit. After events or interactions, take time to reflect on your experiences and the connections you've made.
9. Embrace the Journey
I don’t even know how to give advice to this.
Lets just say if you don’t embrace the journey you’ll dislike yourself forever.
Or at least i would. love every moment your right where you need to be/
10. Persevere with Passion
Love is what will drive you through.
Love will give you:
Dedication
Willingness to learn
Persistence in the face of challenges
Love for what you do – making even long workdays fly by
Conclusion:
I dont even know what im doing. But somehow things are working. By putting myself out there, learning what I can and being my authentic silly self. i’m creating my dream life.
What are you passionate about?
The journey might be challenging, but if you're doing something you genuinely love, even 12-hour workdays will fly by.
