Welcome to Biohack With Jack
Who this blog is for, what it will teach you, and who I am
It was the night of the biggest show of my life. I was going to play for a crowd of 500 people at Dallas Market Hall in less than an hour. Anxiety had me pacing back and forth, questioning if I was ready for this moment. My mind was racing, palms sweaty, and my mind wouldn’t shut up.
Through a leap of desperation, I pulled up YouTube and searched for something like “breathwork for social anxiety.” Then, I stumbled upon a video by Certified Health Nut, a random guy with a big beard and a man bun who was absolutely ripped.
Moments later, while everyone else was ripping beer bongs downstairs, I was doing some crazy nasal breathing with this dude on YouTube shouting, “Breathe, motherfucker!” through the screen.
That night, everything changed. For the first time in a long time, my mind cleared, my blood started flowing, and I finally felt calm. I went out, talked to people, and enjoyed the night. That was the moment my journey into health and wellness truly began.
From there, I explored more on his YouTube page, chilling in my room after class or before a big night out. I dove deep into the world of Tai Chi, breathwork, and yoga—practices that helped me manage my anxiety and find a sense of balance. He talked about nutrition, so I started exploring juicing, fasting, and superfoods, mixing powders and blends like an alchemist.
Along the way, I discovered biohacking through Ben Greenfield and realized how vast this world of health and wellness is.
I found I could use these tools to enhance my brain and help me succeed in college. I’ve done NAD IVs until I could hardly stand, used dialysis machines that filter blood with UV light, and explored every biohack I could find.
I learned about environmental toxins—everything from the pans we cook with to the water we drink—and started avoiding them. I even went deep into circadian rhythms, biology, hormones, and more.
Along the way, I’ve met with numerous doctors, spent over $10,000 chasing down every cutting-edge method, and refined my approach through trial and error.
And trust me, I still love to have fun and go party.
But now, I’ve got a bunch of ways to feel better the next morning, like cool probiotics that help you avoid hangovers. That’s why I’m so passionate about this world of health and biohacking—there’s always something new and exciting to discover.
Whether it’s finding ways to thrive in a modern urban environment, avoiding toxins in our food and water, or just staying energized and present in daily life, I’m here to share my journey with you.
I found all this information through various sources—podcasts, articles, and more—but as the costs of podcasts started adding up, I realized I wanted to share what I’d learned directly.
That’s why I started Kool Health on Substack. The audience here is amazing, and I love being able to share exclusive content with you.
I’ll share the products, practices, and techniques that have truly worked to change my mind, body, spirit. This journey has been full of trials, errors, burnouts, wins, and successes, and I’m here to share all of it with you.
I will work hard to deliver weekly articles on these topics, along with podcasts and community challenges.
Together, we can explore how to live a life full of energy and presence, to shine the brightest, and to get out of your mind funk or insecurities. We all have this beautiful power to let go and become the person we’ve always wanted to be. I’ve been researching that, and I want to show you my findings.
It all comes down to how beautiful life can become when we get healthy for our minds and bodies—they can enter their purest form.
When we reach that state, we not only transform ourselves but also have a real chance to change the world for the better. We can avoid modern diseases and live long enough to see our grandkids become adults. By using modern and ancestral knowledge, we can unleash our best and sexiest selves, live better, and still enjoy life to the fullest.
Thank you for reading and I hope you enjoy
