Reasons Why I Had a Sauna Delivered To My Bedroom
And I have no regrets...
I just spent 10% of my income on a sauna.
Yes, you read that right.
Watching my savings account dwindle in the blink of an eye was nothing short of a mini panic attack—a personal violation that echoed every hour and every drop of energy I had invested into building that nest egg.
I’m not here to persuade you to spend 10% of your income on a sauna, but I want you to understand why I did it.
Here are a few reasons why:
Relaxation: It melts away stress
Focus: It sharpens my concentration
Energy: I feel ready to tackle anything.
Detoxification: It makes my skin silky smooth;)
Scientific studies suggest significant benefits.
The Benefits of Sauna Use
A sauna is an incredible tool for
- Lowering mortality rates.
- Detoxifying from heavy metals.
- Enhancing cardiovascular health.
- Boosting mitochondria function.
- Reducing cellular inflammation.
Every time I step into the sauna, I feel like I'm winning.
Why did I buy a sauna?
The answer is simple: I wanted to invest in myself.
I was fed up with public saunas, which were crowded with frat bros, TikTok videos, and sweaty strangers.
I wanted privacy and the freedom to do whatever I wanted.
I always had it in mind, and one day, I saw an influencer post a massive deal on a sauna.
Curious and a bit skeptical, I decided to dig deeper.
I went to the Sauna website, pored over the specifications and testimonials, and finally clicked the button to learn more.
Almost immediately, my phone rang—it was a sales rep.
What followed was an intense, two-day dialogue that bordered on a negotiation marathon.
The price tag was a hard pill to swallow.
Was I about to make a decision I’d regret, driven by the persuasive prowess of an influencer and a skilled sales rep?
Finally, after much deliberation and a hefty dose of soul-searching, I decided.
"Fuck it, let's do it."
The Pre Steps
Before the sauna even hit my doorstep, there were many issues.
She explained the nitty-gritty of putting this beast together.
"You'll need two people, a couple of hours, a drill, and a few other bits and bobs."
Which I didn’t have.
Plus, there was the whole deal about needing particular electrical specs—120A and many other techy requirements that I also didn’t have.
I asked if she knew who could handle the setup.
"Of course," she said
$825 for the build and $300 for "debris removal."
Grand Total?
A whopping $1,125. I nearly choked on my coffee.
Determined to dodge that hefty bullet from the sauna company, I shopped around and finally struck gold with a guy on Task Rabbit who agreed to do the whole shebang for just $300.
Absolute lifesaver.
The Build Begins
So, this guy named Saul rolled in to help me tackle the sauna setup.
I always thought I’d need someone else to handle the heavy lifting because building stuff is not my forte.
But as it turned out, Saul needed a hand, too.
Watching him work, I quickly learned that the assembly instructions were more like guidelines—sometimes, you got to give a panel a good whack to get it into place.
Getting hands-on felt pretty awesome, wildly, when I finally thumped the stubborn corner of the sauna into just the right spot.
The kit came in two gigantic boxes filled with heaps of wooden panels and a tangle of wires, all of which needed to be fitted just right.
Working side by side, Saul showed me the ropes, turning what I thought was beyond me into something doable. Honestly, without him, I’d have been lost, but together, we made a great team.
By the end of the day, the sauna was assembled, looking mighty fine in my bedroom.
It was all set up, and I was waiting for the electrician tomorrow.
Thanks to Saul, not only do I have my sauna ready, but I also picked up some legit building skills along the way.

Reflections
On April 27th, 2024, the final pieces fell into place.
The sauna is now completely set up.
Sitting in and looking at the skyline, I made it.
After I bought it, I was tweaking. I just spent eight grand on a sauna.
But sitting in it, I knew I made it.
I want to share this perspective: If you encounter an opportunity to improve your quality of life, seize it.
I chose this sauna because I recognized the potential for saving time, improving health, and enhancing mental focus.
Now, I can head home, step into the sauna, make dinner, and enjoy life.

Living my dream here! I have been preaching about sauna benefits for such a long time. It looks awesome too 👌
Jack - I'm legit jealous. and that price tag seems actually reasonable for something that will improve your health/help you relax. Where did you purchase the sauna from?
