How to boost your testosterone naturally
first eliminate toxins, then beef testicle...
Hey guys. Hope you're all doing well today. I want to discuss testosterone.
Specifically how to optimize it to boost your levels.
This means having more energy and vitality throughout the day, a higher libido, and greater gains in the gym and beyond. Testosterone isn't just for men, though our hormonal profile is primarily made up of it. Women have some too, and they need it for various functions in the body, including libido and energy.
A lot of people have been asking me, Jack, how do I optimize my testosterone? I think I'm credible in this space because I've been through a tough time with my testosterone levels. Essentially, my testosterone was at zero at one point. My doctor did some blood work with me, and he told me, "Jack, you have the testosterone of a 65-year-old man." This was two years ago when I was 22.
I thought to myself, "Well, that explains a lot." It explained why I'd wake up with my mind racing, why I had persistent anxiety, and why I couldn't get through the gym without stimulants or make it through the morning without coffee and Adderall.
At the time, I was doing all the biohacking - optimizing my mitochondria, using NAD, stem cell precursors, and even doing blood ozone oxygenation. But what it really came down to was that my hormones were unbalanced. They were imbalanced because they were constantly being bombarded by high stress, endocrine disrupting chemicals, and drugs.
Once I learned that and started implementing natural detoxification strategies, natural relaxation techniques, and temperance strategies, my testosterone increased. I started getting my life energy back, felt better about myself, and my energy skyrocketed. I even started having erections again.
This isn't about taking some beef testicle or deer antler extract, although those are great. To optimize our testosterone, we need to remove what's blocking it from producing naturally. Today, we're going to dive into that. Today, we're going to explore the main culprits and how to fix them.
What’s blocking our testosterone?
First, I believe the most important thing blocking testosterone is endocrine disrupting chemicals. These chemicals mimic estrogen in the body, latch onto estrogen cells, and create a false identity of estrogen.1 This leads to an imbalance, with high estrogen and low testosterone.
These endocrine disrupting chemicals are found everywhere, and the main ones to watch out for are pesticides, parabens, phthalates, phytochemicals like soy and flax, and BPA/BPS.
These chemicals don't just lower testosterone; they also lower thyroid function, sperm motility, and make it harder for females to have consistent hormonal cycles. Most of these chemicals are found in personal care products, soaps, sunscreens, serums, bedsheets, plastics, foods, and liquids.
How to avoid them
To avoid them, try to avoid all plastics, which contain parabens, phthalates, BPA, BPS, and BPP. These severely hurt testosterone, cause neurotoxicity2, and long term attention deficit in children. 3
Another strategy is to clean our water as much as possible by getting a high-quality water filter.
We also need to think about fragrances, personal care products, and household items, which are often loaded with estrogenic chemicals.
I use Alitura (use code: koolhealth for 20% off) for my face care and living libations for my hair care, which are all-natural and superfood-based. We should avoid plastic toys, choose canned foods carefully, switch to glass or stainless steel coffee makers, and use estrogen-free cleaning products and sunscreens. For toothpaste which is also loaded with chemicals, I use living libations.
Eliminate soy, flax, and lavender products, which contain huge amounts of phytoestrogens4 that can cause gynecomastia and other issues. Also, excess alcohol and smoking cannabis can slow down our metabolism and ruin our liver's detoxification abilities.
Another effective way to detox your body is to fix your omega 3:6 ratio.
Avoid seed oils, like sunflower, canola, soybean, grapeseed, corn oil, which wreck our mitochondria and cause oxidative stress. They’re the reason majority of our society is hurting with obesity, sickness and impaired hormones.5 Use animal fats like ghee, butter, tallow. Use olive oil and coconut oil.
Focus on detoxification strategies like using N-acetylcysteine, glycine, selenium, and sauna therapy to eliminate free radicals. This is my favorite product.
For testosterone optimization, get at least seven to eight hours of sleep per night, lift heavy weights, avoid high amounts of EMF, and get lots of sunlight.
Deep breathing, keeping cortisol low, and taking adaptogens can also help. Live a purposeful life, avoid porn, and keep your dopamine in check.
Lift heavy weights. Lots of sunlight. Deep breathing. Keep your cortisol low. Take them adaptogens. If you need to.
And live a legacy, live a purposeful life. Don't watch porn at all. Keep your dopamine in check.
Heal. That's what it's all about.
